need to get a check from Jess to pay the second half.

-Need food shoppers - Roger said Sue Billingsly was going to get a list to Julie. Roger will check with Julie.
Also check with Sue B. about using her big cooler.
- Signage Mike Jones volunteered to do this.
- For future reference Mike Falk has a map and list of available campsite for a group our size - courtesy of Zack
Mondry.
UU Coffee House - Larry Peterson has taken this over from Mark Alexander. Sept 30th Larry Peterson and Chuck
Cheeseman will be playing. Larry wants to put a flyer out at the campout and is planning on advertising these
events more. Laura suggested that Bill Vernieu might put out an email to the group about this event. $3 at the
door. Proceeds go to the church. Larry suggested that perhaps an envelope be put out so folks could donate to
the Red Cross for relief efforts for Katrina victims. Laura suggested that this could be on the web site - need
to contact Mike Quinn and he would take care of that.
Fund Raiser for CCA - Mike Falk presented info from Christina Boyd. She is getting very busy and will be stepping
put of this event after this next one in February 2006. She needs help with advertising and is willing to direct
people. This year will focus on kids - with Young Jammers, Worm Drive, exhibits on bats and other activities.
Mike Falk and Erin Brown will help with this.
Jesse asked if we want to continue with this? Discussion about what we get out of this and perhaps we ought to
reevaluate for next (2007) year.
Treasurer - Jess Pope wants to step out of this position. Mike Jones has volunteered. He has been involved in
other nonprofit businesses, is a CPA, has a Masters in Business Management and has had his own small business.
Mike Falk nominates Mike Jones, Laura seconded. Vote - all agreed. Transition date will be after the campout.
Mike J will get together with Jess and get up to speed. He suggested that we have 2 signers on the checking account.
Mike Falk and Laura Shearin as signers.
Folk Festival options - Now the Folk Festival is the second weekend in June at CCA. Discussion about checking
out the Coconino County Fairgrounds and their amphitheater and camping possibilities as a possible venue for future
Folk Festivals. This would provide a growth opportunity.
Mike J suggested raffle, making reservations online and we get a cut.
Mike F possible Friday night headliner i.e. Bruce Molsky
Larry - same weekend as Pride in the Pines - get other groups involved, possible other satellite stages
Jesse - we had 4 stages and still had 10 acts we could not fit in. Also need workshops spaces.
Roger - Could we move the date?
Mike J - This is close to the Telluride bluegrass Festival and Grass Valley; good musicians would already be in
the area for these events.
Mike F - This has been a showcase for local talent
Larry - Flag singer/songwriter night to showcase the musicians on the CD as an evening concert
Roger - let's think about other possible locations
Laura - areas like Wheeler Park, the Weatherford Hotel, Heritage Square and the Federated Church as a collective
site.
Rusty will get with Tony Norris and check out the amphitheater and possibilities. He will try to set up a meeting
time and include as many other folks as possible.
Board Nominations -
January-to-January 2 year terms. Those up for reelection are Mike Falk, Laura Shearin, Jesse Anderson and Larry
Peterson. All are willing to continue to serve on the Board. Mike would be happy to step aside as the President.
Need to put a note in the newsletter - October call for nominees, November Elections, December announcement of
the New Board members.
Roger suggested that we put a sign out at the campout - nominate Board members and we need Folk Festival volunteers.
Jesse will summarize meeting minutes and get them in the newsletter.
Laura will send out the By Laws so we can know how many members the Board can have.
Mike J suggested that we check our past nominee list to see if any of those folks want to be involved.
Laura nominated Jess Pope.
Larry nominated Kari Usher.
Jesse asked about the link on the web page for By Laws. Laura will get a copy to Mike Quinn to get that link active.
Contra Dance Committee
Laura reports that Deb Comly has stepped out to pursue Montessori training. Committee is working well. Kari has
stepped in to help. We have been frugal and are now solvent with covering expenses.
Mike J motioned to adjourn, Larry seconded, all agreed.
